Joined the Navy in June of 1972.  Boot camp in Great Lakes. Attended Radioman School in San Diego.  Spent 2 1/2 years as RM3 with Naval Communication Station Guam.  In '74, off to Beach Master Unit 1 San Diego CA.  During West Pac tour, transferred to COMPHIBRON 5  in January '75.  Participated in "Operation Frequent Wind" in April of '75.  Assisted in evacuation of US Civilians and Vietnamese that year and ended service in June of that year.
